Role Overview
This is a high-impact, senior commercial role responsible for driving new client acquisition across all Doyle Security services.
The Head of New Business will lead the front end of the sales process identifying opportunities, shaping solutions, leading pitches, and securing contracts while working closely with Directors, Operations, Technical, and Marketing teams to ensure all new business is profitable, deliverable, compliant, and aligned with long-term strategy.
This role is pivotal to Doyle Security’s continued growth and will suit someone who combines commercial drive with credibility, judgement, and the ability to build something sustainable.
Role Purpose
To lead and drive new business acquisition across Doyle Security, securing high-quality clients and contracts that strengthen the company’s market position, reputation, and long-term profitability.
The role focuses exclusively on new business generation, ensuring opportunities won reflect Doyle Security’s standards, values, and operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and secure new business opportunities across all security services
- Develop and maintain a robust, high-quality pipeline of prospective clients
- Lead initial client engagement, site visits, and pre-contract relationship building
- Assess client risk and requirements, proposing the most appropriate integrated security solutions
- Work collaboratively with Operations and Technical teams to ensure solutions are:
- Profitable
- Operationally practical
- British Standard compliant
- Fully deliverable
- Prepare, present, and lead professional proposals and tender submissions
- Represent Doyle Security at networking events, industry meetings, and client presentations
- Ensure commercial discipline, risk awareness, and alignment with company values in all new contracts
- Support Marketing with ideas, campaigns, and initiatives to generate new business leads
- Report regularly to Directors on pipeline activity, conversion rates, forecasts, and risks
Key Objectives / KPIs
- New client acquisition
- Value, quality, and suitability of contracts secured
- Conversion rate from enquiry to contract award
- Contribution to sustainable, long-term revenue growth
- Strength and health of the forward sales pipeline
- Promotion of Doyle Security’s USPs and reputation
Person Profile
- Proven experience in new business development, ideally within security or a related service-led industry
- Strong relationship-building, communication, and influencing skills
- Commercially astute, highly professional, and credible at senior decision-maker level
- Able to operate autonomously with discipline and accountability
- Demonstrates the potential and capability to build and lead a team as the function grows
- Values-led, with an understanding that long-term partnerships outweigh short-term wins
- Aligned with Doyle Security’s family-business ethos, integrity, and high standards
Preferred:
- Broad knowledge of manned guarding and/or electronic security services
- Experience working with operational teams to validate solutions pre-contract

Salary
£45,000 – £50,000 is negotiable
